I was born on Long Island to the parents of John W McLaurin Jr. and Elizabeth M Sydnor McLaurin in the hamlet of Bay Shore in 1952. My dad, a single parent, was lost early in my life due to a drunk driver. His brothers and sisters took care of me and my twin brother and sister until my mother returned. My uncles and aunts taught all their nieces and nephews the value of an education and to this day I thank them dearly.
Although sports occupied most of my time growing up as a boy, and having family members who loved them too, I was blessed to attend college and learn more things about life and myself. Having obtained computer skills at an advance level, it was very easy for me to take those skills and give back something to my family in the form of this FAMILY WEBSITE.
Enjoy!

During the Trump 2024 campaign I reported on a restaurant in Bellville, Texas where one of my clients live and he took me for lunch to this restaurant called "Trump Burger Restaurant."

The place of course was all trumped up inside and out. With the exception of the owner and his family and I, everyone else at this location were Caucasian and they looked at me in a very strange way when I walked in with my cliet Jack. Regardless of the environment, I was there for lunch and the flamed grill burger was good.

Food and politics clearly don’t mix... The owner of a Texas restaurant group that celebrates Donald Trump is facing immigration enforcement. Here’s everything you need to know.
Launched in 2020 in Bellville, Texas, the Trump Burger establishment was created as a loving nod to the president and as an excuse to sell Trump-stamped burger buns.
Described as a patriotic restaurant, filled with Trump memorabilia, the fast-food chain has grown to include four other outlets across the state - furthering the reach of its politically themed menu. Which includes the First Lady Chicken Sandwich, in case you were wondering.
However, the patty party could be over, as the co-owner of the Trump Burger chain,
Roland Beainy, is reportedly (and somewhat ironically) being investigated by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) - the controversial agency central to Donald Trump’s intensifying immigration crackdown.
All-Negro Comics is a 1947 American comic book that represents the first known comics magazine written and drawn solely by African-American writers and artists. Edited by Orrin Cromwell Evans, the comic anthology published a single issue with small circulation and sales.
African-American journalist Orrin Cromwell Evans was "the first black writer to cover general assignments for a mainstream white newspaper in the United States" when he joined the staff of the Philadelphia Record.[1] Evans was a member of the NAACP and a strong proponent of racial equality. After the Record closed in 1947, Evans thought he could use the comic-book medium to further highlight "the splendid history of Negro journalism".[2][3]
Evans partnered with former Record editor Harry T. Saylor, Record sports editor Bill Driscoll, and two others[4] to found the Philadelphia publishing company All-Negro Comics, Inc., with himself as president.[
