My cabin was 100 square feet. It had everything you need. The space was actually larger than it looked. All two-decks of solo cabins also had their on lounge connected on two-decks. Everyday at 5pm I met my new friends and we chatted with expresso martini's.
She spent more time than anyone in our party. She was a life-guard as a teenager.
This was our only day at sea. The Meditterranean waters are very calm. I spent some time on deck away from folks for some personal space and the calmness of the water.
My cabin was very well equipped with everything I needed. My steward was very nice and always had what I needed everyday. I had plenty of closet space for my clothes and the large suitcase was easily stowed under the queen bed. Very rarely did you feel the motion of the boat. I slept well every night. Note: If you're traveling solo, do look into the solo cabins, they are 1/2 the price of the dual occupancy room and you also have the luxury of the solo lounge. It's a sweet deal.
The atrium is where you go for services of any kind, some live entertainment, drinks, starbucks, meetups, and it could be overlooked from deck 7 directly above. We met here everyday before going out on an excursion. I came here after my morning workout on the bike at the gym for one Mimosa.
Pompei was one of the historic places we visited in Naples Italy. It was hot and it was a two-hour walking tour. Walking on uneven pavement was not easy. I wondered how some of the very old people were doing it. Living here back in that time was not easy. I was happy when we left this place.
We are located in the town square of Pompei. The dirt versus those stones for roads is way better. No cover and hot as hell.
Naples Italy is a place I could live in. The city is clean, and plenty of everything a city should have. The people are friendly and live not as stressful as Americans. Most people ride mopeds (and wear helmets), or ride bicycles, or walk. There is mass transit also. The streets are very narrow and made of cobblestone. They last, no potholes, but difficult to transverse on. Riding in the taxi was crazy fun! The pizza was the best I had ever and cheap. Obesity is not prevalent here.
Our taxi driver was a very nice man and served us well as our guide. we hired him for the entire day. I conversed with him in Spanish and with my translator to his amusement. I sat in the shot gun seat. He took us everywhere including this mountain top view of the city and Mr. Vesuvius in the background. It was beautiful and peaceful.
Although you may not be that religious or even an atheist, the Vatican has a spiritual presence that is in the air. Although the Pope was here in the Vatican on this day, he did not make a public appearance. This place is huge. There's no shade, so bring your cool drink and a fan.
Palma is the largest island off the southern coast of Spain. Home of Rafael Nadal if you follow tennis. We took a taxi to the central commerce area. This was one of the most beautiful stops on our cruise. Because we got a late start from the boat, we didn't have an awful lot of time there, be we loved every minute.
