Ayesha Karee (Garrett) Thompson was born on April 15, 1980 to the parents of James K McLaurin and Roseanne Garrett on Long Island, New York. Her parents went their separate ways as James seeking professional employment moved to Houston, Texas, and her mother Roseanne seeking professional employment in law enforcement move to Washington, D.C. Ayesha completed her K-12 eductional years in Maryland where her mom married and moved to Maryland.
Upon completion of high school , Ayesha enlisted in the United States Air Force and her career in life took off like the world’s premier jets that our United States Air Force flies. She developed an interest in the medical field and took advantage of the educational benefits the service provides and obtained her Bachelor’s in Science Nursing degree. Her enlisted status was elevated from enlisted to officer when she graduated from college. On July 24, 2018 at Bestheda Military Center she will be promoted to Captain. Her final goal in the medical field is to become a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist).
She met and married Mr. Earl Thompson eleven years ago and will be celebrating their anniversary in July. She has two girls Anaiya and Brooke. After completing her ICU training in San Antonio, Texas, she is reunited with her husband in Maryland where they have just built and moved into their dream house. July is going to be a very special month this year as they celebrate her promotion, his birthday, their anniversary, and their move into their dream home. I guess she would say “LIFE IS GOOD!” .
See you guys at the end of next month for the big party.

Upon her graduation in May of '25, she and family and friends will be taking a cruise throughout Europe.
Ayesha sent us a list of things she couldn't get there. So many of us filled her order. She's a happy Airman.
Being stationed in a war zone is no joke folks. We all pray for her safe return.
Receiving packages from home is awesome baby! It gives the service men and women comfort from those love ones back home.
Trauma Bay with these lovelies! Can’t believe we spent a year learning Critical Care and Trauma together and one year later here we are in Afghanistan working real traumas and providing Critical Care TOGETHER!
Afghanistan is a dangerous place on the planet Earth for sure. She's got less than 88 days to go. Let's keep praying.
Yes, holidays are still celebrated even in war zones. You've got to have some kind of fun to keep it together.
